AFS Report 2023-24

Velur Grama Panchayat Annual Financial Statement (AFS) is the official financial report that presents the Panchayat’s income, expenditure, assets, liabilities, grants, and development activities for a financial year. The AFS of Velur Grama Panchayat reflects the financial performance and public service activities carried out during the year in a transparent and systematic manner.

The report shows that the Panchayat earned revenue mainly through property tax, profession tax, license fees, government grants, and funds received under various schemes. Major expenditures were made for infrastructure development, drinking water projects, sanitation programmes, road construction, health and education services, housing schemes, street lighting, agriculture, and social welfare activities.

According to the 2024–25 Income & Expenditure Statement, the Panchayat recorded a total income of approximately ₹20.75 crore and a total expenditure of around ₹23.83 crore. The Cash Flow Statement indicates that the Panchayat maintained a year-end cash and bank balance of approximately ₹4.13 crore.

The 2023–24 Balance Sheet also highlights the Panchayat’s fixed assets, including roads, buildings, drinking water facilities, public infrastructure, and other development assets, with total assets valued at approximately ₹14.67 crore.

Overall, the AFS demonstrates that Velur Grama Panchayat has managed its financial resources effectively and utilized funds for public welfare, infrastructure improvement, social security schemes, and sustainable local development, ensuring transparency and accountability in governance.
